Did you fall in love with the sweater Rebecca wore in the final scene of The Sheep Detectives? So did we.
Inspired by that lovely sweater, Ashley designed the Winter Lamb Sweater - a cozy, top-down raglan with the distinctive textured details of Rebecca's sweater.
Winter Lamb is available in Adult and Child & Youth sizes. Our kits feature Lucky Tweed by Kelbourne Woolens, with Blue Sky Fibers Sweater also available for the Child & Youth version as a soft, easy-care option.
How to Order
1. Choose your Version and Size
Choose Adult or Child & Youth, then select your size.
Adult
Adult sizes are based on finished hip circumference:
44 (47), 51, (56), 60, (65), 69, (74), 78"
The Adult Winter Lamb is designed with 10-14" of positive ease. Choose a finished sweater circumference approximately 10-14" larger than your actual hip measurement.
For example, if your hips measure 40", we recommend the 51" size, giving you approximately 11" of positive ease.
If your bust is larger than your hips, we still recommend choosing your Winter Lamb size based on your hip measurement.
Child & Youth
Child & Youth Winter Lamb is available in sizes:
2 (4, 6, 8), [10, 12, 14]
Because children vary considerably in size at the same age, use the age designation as a starting point and choose your size based on the child's actual chest measurement whenever possible.

The Child & Youth Winter Lamb is designed for a relaxed, oversized fit, with room for comfortable layering. We don’t recommend automatically sizing up for growth, since the sweater already includes positive ease. Sleeve and body lengths can always be adjusted while knitting.
2. Choose your yarn & color
Adult kits are available in Kelbourne Woolens Lucky Tweed, the yarn used for our original Winter Lamb.
For Child & Youth kits, choose between:
Lucky Tweed by Kelbourne Woolens
A classic wool tweed with beautiful texture and character, and the yarn used for the original, Adult Winter Lamb.
Sweater by Blue Sky Fibers
A soft wool-and-organic-cotton blend that's machine washable, making it an especially nice easy-care option for kids.
Select your yarn and color from the available options. Your kit will include the amount of yarn needed for the version, size, and yarn you select.
Looking for another color? The options shown reflect our current inventory. More Lucky Tweed-including additional colors-is expected in October, with another restock expected in February.
We'd rather make sure you have enough yarn to finish your sweater than leave you playing yarn chicken! Any unused, unwound skeins from your kit may be returned to gather for a refund or store credit.
3. Get your pattern
Your kit includes the digital Winter Lamb Sweater pattern for the version you've selected.
You'll receive your pattern by email so you'll have everything you need to cast on.
4. Make your Winter Lamb

Pattern Details
Construction: The Winter Lamb is worked seamlessly from the top down, with raglan shaping and short rows to shape the neckline. The body and sleeves are worked in the round.
Gauge: 16 stitches × 24 rows = 4" × 4" in stockinette stitch.

- US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” circular
- US 6 (4 mm) 16” circular
- US 6 (4 mm) 32” (Adult), or 24” (Child & Youth) circular
- US 8 (5 mm) 16” circular
- US 8 (5 mm) 32” (Adult), or 24” (Child & Youth) circular
