gather is a community-centered fiber arts retail, studio and gathering place in the heart of the Northern Berkshires. Located at 57 Spring Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts, the studio is nestled in the Purple Valley, adjacent to the Williams College campus and woven into the vibrant cultural fabric of the Berkshires.
gather is more than a retail space; it is a community hub for creativity, connection, and local pride. In an increasingly digital world, gather offers something tangible, personal, and human: a place where people come together to make, learn, share, and belong.
We hope you’ll join us for gatherings, classes and fiber inspiration that celebrate connection and local makers in this special corner of New England.
Our Founders
Ashley Weeks Cart is an artist, educator, and community builder whose work celebrates connection and creativity. For over a decade at Williams College, she led large-scale community events that brought thousands together through shared joy and experience. As a photographer, she’s built a thriving studio capturing the relationships that define people’s lives. A lifelong knitter, maker, and mother of four, Ashley brings warmth, vision, and inclusivity to everything she does. gather is a natural extension of her work—an inviting space where creativity and community meet.
Geraldine Shen blends business leadership with a lifelong love of creativity and community. She has built and guided successful ventures across education, sustainability, and social impact—always grounded in bringing people together. With deep experience in entrepreneurship, strategy, and outreach, Geraldine combines operational expertise with a heartfelt commitment to building spaces that connect and inspire. gather reflects that same spirit: a place where creativity, learning, and friendship are woven together as beautifully as the yarns on its shelves.
