Our beloved Winter Lamb has a little lamb.

We adapted the original Winter Lamb Sweater for little bodies, keeping the relaxed silhouette, distinctive raglan detail, cozy rolled edges and spirit of the original while reworking the proportions and shaping for children and youth.

The Winter Lamb Child & Youth Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, with short rows to shape the neckline and raglan increases to create an easy, comfortable fit.

Available in sizes 2 through 14, the sweater is designed with positive ease for a relaxed, oversized silhouette. Choose primarily according to the child's chest measurement; finished garment measurements are included to help you choose the right combination of width and length for your child.

Pattern details

• Sizes: 2 (4, 6, 8), [10, 12, 14]
• To fit chest: 21 (23, 25, 26½), [28, 30, 31½]"
• Finished chest: 24½ (26½, 28½, 31½), [33, 35½, 37½]"
• Construction: Seamless, top-down raglan worked in the round
• Suggested yarn: Kelbourne Woolens Lucky Tweed or a worsted/Aran-weight yarn that achieves gauge
• Yarn requirement: approximately 200 (300, 300, 400), [400, 500, 500] g of Lucky Tweed
• Skill level: Adventurous beginner/intermediate

Two sample sweaters show just how differently Winter Lamb can work for different ages and yarns: our green size 2 is knit in Kelbourne Woolens Lucky Tweed, while the yellow size 8 is knit in Blue Sky Fibers Sweater.
