Sailor Slipper Class

Let’s knit the viral, cozy Sailor Slippers! A fun, fast project that has an extra playful reveal thanks to the felting process.

For those interested in the class, you’ll learn all the techniques, from shaping and seaming, to adding the i-cord edge and felting over the course of 3 sessions. We’ll schedule once we know who is interested.

Choose three colors of Malabrigo Chunky and get ready for some fun. 

What to bring:

• 8mm [US 11] needles (circular or straight)
• Tapestry needle, stitch markers, scissors
• Sailor Slippers pattern by Annie Germain

You’ll Learn How To:

• Read a multi-size slipper pattern
• Knit flat stockinette and manage color stripes
• Pick up stitches neatly along edges
• Shape slippers with increases and decreases
• Adjust length and width for different sizes
• Seam slippers using mattress stitch and Kitchener stitch
• Add an applied i-cord edge
• Felt and shape slippers for a custom fit

Skill Level: Advanced beginner (you should know basic knit/purl)
