Babe DK yarn by Bloom Woolen Yarns

Part of our Spring Equinox collection exploring regional fibers, Babe is a yarn conceived of with care, resourcefulness, and a deep connection to place. Created by Bloom Woolen Yarns, it began with a simple idea: to make meaningful use of the fleeces from animals raised for meat. Working with the lambs' fleeces meant softer fiber better suited to spinning, and a yarn was created that honors the full life of the fiber.

Sourced from Romney-cross lambs in the Western Massachusetts fibershed and woolen-spun in New England, Babe is soft, springy, and full of character. Its unique 2-strand single-ply construction gives it the look of a single ply with added strength, creating fabric that is warm, breathable, and gently textured.
